We teach classes for children and adults.  We teach in many different venues including schools, child care centers, home-school co-ops. We can meet virtually or Face to Face.

Spanish Immersion

Classes are taught using the Spanish Immersion model. Participants will meet once a week to explore the language through songs, puppets, movement, and imaginative play.

Parents will enrich their child’s environment by learning to incorporate Spanish at home using simple phrases. Take home materials allow for extra practice between classes. Mixed aged classes are developmentally appropriate and allow siblings to enjoy class together.

From Our Principal

Dear Families,

The 2020/2021 school year is upon us and registration is open! The Spanish Class is celebrating our 10-year anniversary this fall and it’s hard to believe that it all began in my garage. This year, with the addition of our virtual learning program, we will be able to serve students in other states, as well as right in our backyard! As I’m sure it is true for many of you, this recent time has brought new challenges and new opportunities for The Spanish Class. I am happy to announce that I will be teaching again this year. I have missed working with my students! Please join me in thanking the teachers that have moved on from The Spanish Class for their hard work and contributions to our program. I want to give a great big welcome to our new and returning teachers who have incorporated themselves seamlessly into our program.

As always, we are thrilled to be on this path of growth and so happy to continue serving your children. We’re looking forward to a great year!

Can my child really learn Spanish online?
Yes! We have already had success in our online language learning model. Virtual classes allow our teachers to meet with students more frequently which provides reinforcement for the child’s brain!
What if I select a class time that no longer works if schools resume face to face classes?
Yes! We have already had success in our online language learning model. Virtual classes allow our teachers to meet with students more frequently which provides reinforcement for the child’s brain! You will be given the option to continue classes virtually after school.

How will the virtual program work?
Class will meet twice a week via zoom for 30 minutes each session. Our class sizes will range from 4-7 students and will include assignments for reinforcement between sessions and frequent assessments to monitor student progress. *Our Saturday classes will meet for one hour.

What if something changes and we can’t continue?
Tuition is paid 1 month in advance. You can cancel at any time but in order to not be charged for the month ahead, we will need notification by the 25th of the preceding month.
What about class materials?
Most of our curriculum materials are in an online format. We have lowered our registration/materials fees to offset the cost of possibly printing other materials at home.
I have a conflict with one of the two meeting times during the week. What can I do?
If we have space available you may join a different class for your second meeting time during the week. Email us with your selections and we’ll let you know.
I only want my child to take Spanish for 30 minutes a week. Can we do that?
Yes! We are still offering private tutoring and you can select between a 30 min or a 1-hour class a week. Contact us for our private tutoring rates.
What if my child is absent from a class?
Our classes will be recorded. Class recordings will be available upon request for students who are enrolled in the course.
